• Condition Code A: The notebook is in normal condition, no technical impairments, the device has signs of wear appropriate to its age.
• Condition Code B: The notebook is technically flawless, but has significant signs of wear that affect its appearance; however, the functionality of the notebook is not limited.
• Condition Code C: The notebook has defects, please read the further explanations in the item description!

Please understand that due to our automated processes, we are unable to carry out any further inspection of individual devices prior to shipping.

Part of our range consists of used IT in like-new condition from Lenovo Germany's hardware demo pool. With the demo pool devices, Lenovo offers its customers the opportunity to test new IT products in large quantities from a technical and visual point of view before purchasing them. This testing is limited to a few weeks, so that these devices are then remarketed as used devices in almost like-new condition. Of course, our trained service technicians carry out a technical and visual inspection before the sale. The devices are therefore in very good used condition with few signs of wear and tear, some as good as new. The manufacturer's warranty also remains valid.

As a rule, all of our used notebooks are delivered without an operating system unless otherwise stated. The hard drive is formatted and made bootable for easy installation of your operating system.

When you buy a used notebook, no driver CD is included. All drivers required for installing conventional operating systems (Windows 7 or XP) can be found in our download area or on the websites of the respective notebook manufacturer.

If you upgrade a used notebook with an operating system option, you will receive a device pre-configured with the respective operating system (so-called pre-install). Your device is then immediately ready for use with all drivers and utilities. The operating system license is located on the bottom of your device; a CD is not included! It is recommended that you make a complete backup of the pre-installed system in case of a new installation! For some devices, you also have the option of purchasing an English operating system for an additional charge; in this case, the system is completely in English and cannot be switched to German. With the option "Windows XP PRO OEM SP3 including manual and CD", the license, manual and a regular Windows XP PRO OEM CD are included in the delivery!

The OEM versions of Windows Vista Business and Windows Vista Ultimate include downgrade rights to Microsoft Windows XP Professional, Microsoft Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition.

It is difficult for us to give information on the running time of used batteries, as this depends heavily on the degree of use of the battery. Unless otherwise stated in the item description, we guarantee a running time of 20 minutes, i.e. the battery has a service life of at least 20 minutes in normal operation when delivered. If a battery does not achieve this running time when delivered, you can complain to us within 14 days. Batteries are generally excluded from our guarantee. However, the running time will usually be significantly longer, especially with newer used devices. Alternatively, with some devices you have the option of purchasing a new battery instead of the used one through an "upgrade". The battery life should then correspond to the original manufacturer's specifications from the notebook manufacturer! We give a 6-month guarantee on new batteries.

We usually dispatch orders on the day we receive payment or, in the case of cash on delivery orders, on the day we receive the order. We often have a very high volume of orders, which can sometimes delay dispatch by one or two days. For some devices, delivery times are stated in the description. This means that not all available devices of this model are delivered to the dispatch warehouse at the same time. If in individual cases the waiting time is a little longer, we ask for your understanding. Used notebooks require some time to check and configure and ultimately this circumstance serves to maintain our quality standards.

For some devices, you will find the following information about the keyboard layout in the product description:

• German keyboard layout thanks to wear-free special stickers - The device originally had a foreign keyboard layout, but this was converted into a German standard layout with ö,ä,ü etc. using special key stickers. We use our own key stickers, which we were able to develop ourselves with the help of our years of experience. You cannot buy these high-quality keyboard stickers anywhere. The quality cannot be compared to the sticker sets offered on eBay and the like! These stickers are visually unobtrusive and do not interfere with typing. You can find an example photo here!
• German keyboard layout - The device has a used, normal German standard keyboard
• UK/US keyboard layout - The device has a used UK/US standard keyboard. In Windows you can decide whether you want to use this layout or switch to a German layout (in this case, however, some keys are labeled differently: ö,ä,ü etc.)
• German keyboard layout (new keyboard) - The device has been equipped with a new German standard keyboard. There are no signs of use on the keyboard!

32-bit operating systems such as Windows XP, Windows Vista 32-bit or Windows 7 32-bit can only manage a maximum of 3GB of RAM. If you upgrade your device beyond this limit, 32-bit Windows versions will only recognize, display and process up to 3GB. 64-bit operating systems do not have this limit.

For devices with Windows 7, the license sticker is located under the battery. For devices with Windows 8 and those that are delivered by the manufacturer with Windows 8 as standard, the license key (both Windows 8 and Windows 7) is only stored in the BIOS. There is no longer a license sticker on the device.
